Our WA Space Science Research Presentations can be run anytime throughout the year.
Please fill in the form below to enquire about this event and we will get back to you with availability & options.
We have worked together with scientists and researchers from the International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research (ICRAR), the Curtin Space Science and Technology Centre (SSTC) and astronomers from Perth Observatory.Â
In addition, we regularly join forces with Carol Redford from Astrotourism WA and Stargazers Club of WA, to run joint events and assist beginner stargazers with special BYO Telescope classes and Dark Sky Stargazing events. Carol promotes our world-class night skies and how we can protect the dark from light pollution.
Researchers are working on world-leading space projects including the Square Kilometre Array, the world’s largest radio telescope, being built here in Western Australia.
We invite scientists to special events where they will present the latest information on their space science missions, providing inspiring incite into world-class technologies and Western Australia’s involvement.
Programs include astronomy and WA space research presentations on the big screen followed by stargazing through telescopes.
Space Science Presentations – No extra charge. (When available)
Our program generally runs for 2.5hrs and we will work with you to determine a suitable date for the evening stargazing experience. No matter which date you choose, we will get the best from the night sky for everyone to enjoy.
Our Star Tracks Astronomy Guides are professional science communicators who have expert knowledge in astronomy, stargazing, telescopes and astrophotography. They are entertaining, engaging and explain astronomy so that anyone can understand easily. All guides hold a current Working With Children Card.
