Our Family Space Adventures or Summertime Stargazing Adventures are very popular, especially during the school holidays!

We will work with you and your specific needs, to come up with an individual and unique stargazing night with added activities.  This could include different food options, such as ‘bring a picnic’, food trucks, coffee vans or even a community run sausage sizzle, often done as a fundraiser.

Includes:

  • We start with an indoor presentation on the big screen that is very interactive with kids and heaps of fun. We play a few space games including the ‘Movement of the Solar System’ and ‘Get Your Rover to Mars’ games, plus an astro quiz with winners receiving a free ‘Junior Astronomer’ give-away bag of goodies’!
  • Then head outside and we point out constellations with an amazing green laser pointer, giving a lovely tour of the night sky.
  • Followed by stargazing through the large telescopes to see craters on the Moon, the rings of Saturn, gas clouds in nebulae and the giant planet Jupiter! (All objects are not always visible, depending on time of year)

We choose nights when we have easy and astounding objects for kids to see through the telescopes.
