🔭Moonrise From Kings Park.🌟
Join us for a unique evening as we witness the full Moon rising over the city. Our lunar neighbour, will be a captivating sight and appear so much larger and brighter as it rises. See impact craters and cooled lava landforms on the moon as we focus our telescopes on different regions. Plus see the King of the Planets, Jupiter and even Mars!
Enjoy this awesome opportunity, right from the perfect vantage point of Kings Park. ✨🔭
Even though we are in the city, the Moon and planets will still look awesome through the telescopes, because they are so bright. This is what we call, a ‘taster astronomy event’, and if you love it, you may be keen to join in on one of our country events to experience true dark skies!

🌌 Stargazing & Astronomy Talk – Our expert Astro Guide will give a talk about the Moon, its surface features and even NASA landing sites! Plus be amazed with the laser beam tour of the the night sky.
👨👩👧 Family-Friendly Event – Perfect for all ages to experience the magic of Moonrise over the city and the universe in a stunning outdoor setting.

Weather Notice – If bad weather is forecast, the event will be postponed to the next full moonrise or tickets can be refunded.

Star Tracks Astro Events and Off the Beaten Track WA have put together a series of awesome ‘Starry Adventure Hikes’!
Hike from Sullivan Rock to Mt Vincent through lush Jarrah and Banksia forest and then out on to giant granite slopes to enjoy the sunset and amazing views from the peak.
Enjoy a delicious gourmet spread of antipasto goodness as we watch the sky transform from daylight to night

Arriving back at Sullivan Rock, Star Tracks Astro Events guide, Jacob Einam will take us on a magical journey of the night sky. Using an amazing green laser pointer, he will point out constellations, planets and share the wonders of the universe. Then you will have a chance to view it all through a large telescope.
This will be a breath-taking and special starry night to remember!
Watching the Milky Way unfold in the night sky is truly magical. Witnessing it from Sullivan Rock and it is simply unforgettable! 🌌
We will hike from Sullivan Rock to Mt Vincent through lush Jarrah and Banksia forest and then out on to giant granite slopes to enjoy the sunset and amazing views from the peak. As we hike back to Sullivan Rock for stargazing, we will witness the forest transform from twilight to darkness.
Whilst we devour a delicious gourmet spread, Astronomer Jacob from Star Track Astro Events will take us on a journey of the night sky and tell us about the stars, moon, constellations, planets, then you will have a chance to view it all through a 14 inch telescope. This will be quite a special starry night to remember!
Total hike distance is 5kms, the terrain is quite uneven with a steep ascent/descent so sturdy shoes with good grip are a must, the trail is achievable for most people.
