Our astrophotography programs are engaging, fun and provide the latest information for beginners, up to advanced photographers.
Our team of enthusiastic guides present an introductory, one hour program that includes a PwrPt. presentation, detailed explanations, camera images and plenty of Q&A time.
We have the expertise to equip you with helpful techniques plus have a deep knowledge of astronomy, that helps inform participants how to plan their evening shoots and capture creative images of the night sky.

Astrophotography with your existing camera and lens
Description:
- Using your existing DSLR or mirrorless camera, what astrophotography can you try?
- We will explain wide-field astrophotography using your existing camera and wide-angle lens.
- Get the most from your existing photographic equipment and learn what direction you might like to take.
- What purchases you might make down the line if you want to delve deeper into the world of astrophotography.
Astrophotography 2/2.5 Hour Practical Hands-On Program
We provide a 45-minute talk plus Q&A.
We offer follow-up programs to take your astrophotography to the next level:
2 hour hands-on workshops - Includes half-hour indoor instruction and 1.5 hour astrophotography under the stars, learning how to photograph celestial objects and trying wide-field nightscapes.
Facilitate a practical session on-location.
Reinforce astrophotography theory with this practical walk-through and photo session.
Description:
Bring along your camera and tripod and have a go at shooting astrophotography. We will put into practice the theory learned in an earlier indoor session, setting up your camera settings and taking appropriate exposures so next time you are under dark skies you can capture awesome astrophotography of the night sky.
We will shoot the night sky and/or moon depending on subjects available on the night. A suggested equipment list will be provided to participants ahead of the night.
