- Payment for tickets to events held by Star Tracks Astro Events is not refundable. Please choose carefully when making your purchase.
- Sometimes our events will be photographed and/or videoed and images will be used for promotional and marketing purposes, including website and social media. If you do not wish to be photographed or videoed please let us know when you book tickets or on the day of the event.
- On the day of the event, if you’re feeling unwell, have flu-like symptoms or have an eye infection, please do not attend. Please call to cancel your booking. If possible, your booking will be transferred to another event date. Or, if circumstances require, a full refund will be issued.
Description
Join us for a unique evening as we witness the full Moon rising over the city. Our lunar neighbour, will be a captivating sight and appear so much larger and brighter as it rises. See impact craters and cooled lava landforms on the moon as we focus our telescopes on different regions. Plus see Saturn, the ringed planet, double stars, and be amazed as we use our laser pointer to point out constellations and more!
Enjoy this awesome opportunity, right from the perfect vantage point of Kings Park.
Even though we are in the city, the Moon will still look awesome through the telescopes, because it is so bright. This is what we call, a ‘taster astronomy event’, and if you love it, you may be keen to join us at one of our country events to experience true dark skies!
