Astrophotography Workshop with Roger Groom
Have you ever wanted to learn astrophotography but didn’t know where to start? This workshop will teach you the basics of astrophotography to boost your nightscape knowledge and prepare you for your next dark sky adventure! 🌌📸
The evening will begin with a 30–45 minute group information session (please bring a chair), followed by practical shooting time where you can stay with the group or spread out and practice as you choose.
Please bring your mirrorless or DSLR camera, tripod, and associated camera equipment for an enjoyable and information-packed evening.
The workshop will be hosted by award-winning photographer Roger Groom, who will guide you through:

WHAT IF IT’S CLOUDY OR RAINING?
The event will go ahead regardless of weather. Sometimes it can be cloudy or wet. In these circumstances, Star Tracks Astro Events strives to arrange the event to give ourselves the best chance of participating in outdoor activities. If the weather restricts us from being outside, a range of alternative activities, assistance and demonstrations will be held inside or on a covered verandah for you to enjoy.

- Payment for tickets to events held by Star Tracks Astro Events is not refundable. Please choose carefully when making your purchase.
- Sometimes our events will be photographed and/or videoed and images will be used for promotional and marketing purposes, including website and social media. If you do not wish to be photographed or videoed please let us know when you book tickets or on the day of the event.
- On the day of the event, if you’re feeling unwell, have flu-like symptoms or have an eye infection, please do not attend. Please call to cancel your booking. If possible, your booking will be transferred to another event date. Or, if circumstances require, a full refund will be issued.
